My opinion about monarchy

I understand a monarchy as a form of government in which all political power is passed down to an individual, usually hereditary, known as a monarch. Of course we can have different opinion about their rules, principles, habits and others.

For example they say that Monarchy is a form of undemocratic government. I think it depends on type of monarchy: Constitutionally or absolute. If in country is constitutionally monarchy the king or queen have limited rules and before making a decision the leader will advise with some persons from govern so it isn’t considered an undemocratic governmental system. If we speak about absolute monarchy, where king have all the political power in his hands, then we can say that one person makes all the political decisions and it can be considered undemocratic.

But what about the affirmation that monarchy is an important symbol for the national unity. I totally agree with this statement because, nowadays the majority of countries are republics, and there are very few monarchy countries which still keep this type of government. Many people, till present time, keeps different types of architectural monument and it can be considered as a symbol; also the same is with monarchy. This type of government has been keeping for many years and it also can be regarded as a symbol.

And the last affirmation which I don’t agree with is anachronism. Life changes day by day and we can’t follow all that were once used in the past. For example recently wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton proved that anachronism is not a part  of monarchy, because after the ceremony , in evening they went to a disco, which was the first used at a royal wedding. So here is the fact.

My general opinion about monarchy is that this type of government is one of the best because: The monarchy doesn’t cost very much

The Queen can never be corrupted and it is the pinnacle of the class system.
